Why do we need the SMSTS course?
All professional construction or residential construction sites will have a construction site manager who effectively oversees a construction or civil engineering job. We also know them as the construction manager, their role is to ensure that the construction project is completed safely, within budget and on time.
To become a site manager, we have the chance to advance in different ways; either by climbing a professional ladder within a company, usually under the guidance of an experienced site manager, or by studying relevant qualifications and entering the job as site manager.
One of the key qualifications is to hold an SMSTS certification or Safety Management Scheme in location management.
What is SMSTS qualification?
Highly appreciated and industry-recognized SMSTS training is designed to provide the necessary information on the following:
Implement health, wellness, safety and environmental legislation that affects your day-to-day work.
Implementing industry best practices and new guidelines, or legislation, in the workplace.
Understanding the responsibilities and duties of a site manager regarding the health, well-being, safety and environmental impact of employees, contractors, subcontractors and the surroundings of the construction project.
Qualification provides site managers with the qualifications, skills, and best practices they need to perform their role, including conducting risk assessments, implementing control measures, maintaining health and safety on site, and at work, and high level of communication.
