Where to take the SSSTS course
Ac Training offers two convenient options for course delegates who are interested in booking their training. These are based on class or online.
SSSTS course on site
Course delegates can attend the SSSTS course at our training centers, including Ilford, Wembley or Hanger Lane. The course is 2 days, and participants must participate on both days to allow them to take the Site Manager Safety Certificate exam.
SSSTS online course
The other option is to book the SSSTS online course, which is a convenient and flexible way to complete your training. Distance learning means that you can access our training from anywhere – at home, at the office or in any other remote location that is convenient for you.
The SSSTS online course takes place online and is presented exactly as it is in the classroom, but via the Zoom video conference. You will have many opportunities to ask questions and participate in group discussions. As with the SSSTS in-person course, you will need to attend both days of the course to receive the course certificate.
What does the SSSTS online course cover?
Both SSSTS courses cover the same material, which includes:
– health and safety legislation and how it applies to supervisors;
– your supervisory responsibilities in the safe control of the site;
– risk assessments and the need for method declarations;
– effective on-site introductions, discussions with tools and briefings on the method statement;
– efficient monitoring of site activities;
– timely intervention when a bad practice is identified.
Qualifications and next steps
Whether you are taking the SSSTS online course or opting for the personal training program, the certification process works the same way.
Take a 30-minute exam at the end of the second day. He will ask you a series of multiple choice questions, all based on the information you learned during the course. Once you have passed the course, you will receive the CITB SSSTS certificate by e-mail.
Your qualification is valid for 5 years and you have the option to renew it with a 1-day refresh.
