Description
The CPCS Compact Cranes A66 qualification is designed for individuals with limited or no experience who want to learn to operate a compact cranes – static stabilisers. On passing the technical tests, the CPCS trained operator card (red card) is applied for on the candidate’s behalf.
Course content A66
- The roles and responsibilities of a compact crane operator
- Health, safety, welfare and environmental code, as well as putting this into practice
- Pre and post use checks
- Travelling and manoeuvring Compact Cranes
- Lifting and placing loads using full radius and slewing capabilities
- Crane configuration for lifting duties
The entry requirements for the CPCS Compact Cranes A66 course are as follows:
- Candidates must have passed the CITB Health, safety and environment test within the previous 23 months before the course start date.
- Candidates should have a good understanding of spoken and written English to effectively participate in the training.
Duration:
The CPCS Compact Cranes A66 has a duration of 5 days.
This includes 4 days of learning through a mix of classroom-based teaching and practical exercises, followed by 1 day of assessment which involves CPCS technical tests.
