Description
- The CPCS Lifting Supervisor A62 qualification is designed for individuals with limited or no experience who want to learn to operate as a lifting supervisor. On passing the technical tests, the CPCS trained operator card (red card) is applied for on the candidate’s behalf.

- Legislation, regulations and Codes of Practice relating to lifting duties
- Safe systems of work including method statements
- Taking personal responsibility
- Different types of cranes and associated terminology
- Understanding crane documentation
- Understanding crane stability, duty charts and safety devices
- Crane appreciation
- Observing British Standard 7121
- Understanding the role of crane supervisor
- Understanding the role of appointed person
- Preparing an area with exclusion zones.
The entry requirements for the CPCS Lifting Supervisor A62 course are as follows:
- Candidates must have passed the CITB Health, safety and environment test within the previous 23 months before the course start date.
- Candidates should have a good understanding of spoken and written English to effectively participate in the training.
Duration:
The CPCS Lifting Supervisor A62 course has a duration of 4 days.
This includes 3 days of learning through a mix of classroom-based teaching and practical exercises, followed by 1 day of assessment which involves CPCS technical tests.Training Location: Chippenham SN14 8LH
